Located in Independence Square, the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center (CCFM) is an important cultural actor in Maputo. It organizes exhibitions, gives French courses, has a pleasant cafeteria, but above all a hall with 650 seats and an outdoor stage for concerts and shows. The building itself, inaugurated in 1995 on the ruins of the 1896 Hotel Clube, was built in an iron architecture inherited from the Victorian era.
