Chã das Caldeiras is made up of two small villages, Portela and Bangaira. At the foot of the volcano, the landscape sculpted by lava flows and the surrounding cliffs offers an extraordinary panorama. It's here that you'll find this little guesthouse like no other, run by Léa and João, who know all there is to know about the region. Furniture made from pallets, recycled rainwater... ecological concerns are always at the forefront, without in any way compromising comfort. The location is ideal for organizing guided walks and hikes.

Joao and Lea are wonderful hosts. They are very welcoming and ready to help in any way. The rooms at the Eco Funco are beautiful, with a unique charm, built with lava material, following the shape of the traditional houses and built on the lava field. The inside has a unique stylish but simple design. All extremely clean and in perfect tuning with the caldera’s landscape which is a unique experience in itself. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day.

Parfait ! Ce fut un très bon moment vécu durant mes 2 semaines de vacances passées au Cap-Vert.
J'ai voyagé seule, Léa s'est montrée très disponible avant mon arrivée est pleine de bons conseils pour mon séjour à Fogo (merci !).
Le funco est très confortable (bien plus que ce à quoi je m'attendais) avec une literie des plus confortable, eau chaude ????, set de serviettes et une vue magnifique. Sur place, João s'est montré très serviable et prêt à s'adapter pour répondre aux besoins c'est avec lui que j'ai monté le volcan et c'est un expérience très enrichissante que je recommande. Le lieu (excentré de São Filipe) est parfait pour se ressourcer et se déconnecter, juste au début du chemin vers le volcan (et autres randonnées) !
Je recommande !

D’Excellent Hôtes, Hyper réactifs à l’écoute et surtout compréhensifs, le transfert fut rapide et quant aux Funcos, rien a dire ! similaires aux photos, assez originaux plutôt spacieux et assez agréable a y être, je recommande totalement

Excellente expérience dans cet établissement atypique avec des hôtes très accueillants, disponibles et arrangeants ! Le guide Joao pour le volcan était également au top...explications, gentillesse, à l écoute de nos souhaits
Je vous recommande vivement ce jeune couple charmant !

Avec un groupe d'amis, nous avons fait la randonnée du Volcan FOGO avec JOAO comme guide le 17 février 2023. C'était vraiment une superbe expérience. Joao a su s'adapter au niveau de chacun pour amener toute l'équipe au sommet, il est passionné donc passionnant. Il a pris le temps de nous expliquer son volcan, la vie à Fogo, les plantations réalisés... C'était une journée exceptionnelle, merci encore Joao c'était vraiment cool. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu séjourner dans ses chambres d’hôtes qui sont magnifiques. Je recommande vivement. Joao est vraiment une belle personne. A bientôt
