Historical site built in 1881 for a rather original walk that consists of walking to the tip of Temerosa in Praia

A rather original walk consists of walking to the tip of Temerosa to visit the Dona Maria Pia lighthouse, still in operation emitting two white flashes every 6 seconds. Built in 1881, octagonal in shape and 25 m high, including the lantern, it has remained in its original state for a long time, but a restoration was imposed on it in 2018. Don't hesitate to knock on the keeper's door to open it: you can then have the privilege of climbing to the top to admire the view over Praia and dream of journeys across the oceans.

L'endroit est très joli. Le phare en lui-même est en piètre état, une rénovation serait en cours. Belle vue sur la capitale depuis le haut du phare. Le gardien du phare est sympa et parle très bien notre langue.

Situé à Praia, ce vieux phare mérite le détour. Un guide improvisé nous y a guidé. La vue sur la ville, sur les petites criques où les locaux se baignent et y font des barbecues est géniales. Il ne faut pas avoir peur des barreaux rouillés ! Gratuit
