From the sea to the stall at Les P’tits Mousses, a fishmonger’s that also offers on-site tasting of fine seafood platters
On the corner of Trouville’s Marché aux Poissons, the beautiful stall of Les P’tits Mousses is always a sensation. Carrelets, sea bass, cod and sole, Saint-Vaast oysters, wriggling shrimps, crab, Breton lobster, Bouchot mussels, homemade fish rillettes... You’re guaranteed an ultra-fresh product. And if your sweet tooth can’t wait, it’s possible (and highly recommended!) to enjoy a magnificent seafood platter, made to order, on the terrace. Don’t forget your baguette.

We were two people and ordered a nice selection of seafood, along with two glasses of white wine. When the bill came, it was a hefty €140—not exactly what we had anticipated. That being said, the experience itself was enjoyable, and the seafood was undeniably fresh, with that clean, ocean smell you’d hope for.
One thing to be aware of is that they might not always be entirely transparent when weighing the seafood, and there’s a chance you could be slightly overcharged. It’s something to keep in mind when ordering. Also, from what I could tell, all the stalls offer more or less the same selection and quality, so it doesn’t really matter which one you choose.
Overall, it’s a great experience for seafood lovers, just be prepared for the price and double-check what you’re paying for!
Nous avons pris un peu de tout car nous aimons varier, vraiment très bons!
Juste un bémol: le demi-tourteau et la pince de tourteau n’ont pas été cuits le jour même…
Pour le reste parfait!
