GEYMÜLLERSCHLÖSSEL
Magnificently renovated bourgeois palace housing a priceless heritage of furniture and furnishing fabrics.
This castle, a jewel of Biedermeier architecture, is an annex of the MAK, Vienna's Museum of Applied Arts. The summer home of banker Johann Jakob Geymüller (1760-1834), this well-restored bourgeois palace boasts a priceless collection of furniture from the Empire and Biedermeier eras, as well as antique Viennese clocks. The palace also hosts a series of exhibitions and performances from May to December, season after season, focusing on fashion and famous, eclectic designers. The park itself features open-air works of art.
