The Hofpavillon, inaugurated in 1899 near the Imperial Hofburg Palace, is a subway station designed by Otto Wagner.

A subway station designed by Otto Wagner, just like those at Karlsplatz. Inaugurated in 1899 opposite Schönbrunn Palace, around 100 m from the Hietzing subway station, the Hofpavillon was built for Emperor Franz Joseph, who used it only twice. This Art Nouveau building is richly decorated. Of particular interest is the fresco by Carl Moll, the emperor's favorite painter, depicting Vienna from the sky, including its new public transport network.
