A very pleasant and relaxing lake in the Fljótsdalur valley, its surroundings invite you to go for many walks.

The lake is located in the Fljótsdalur valley and has a very pleasant and relaxing setting. The area around Lake Lögurinn, also known as Lagarfljót after the river that flows through it, is attractive and invites many walks. Legend has it that a young girl once kept a gold ring in a box, but when she opened it, the ring turned into a worm. Disgusted, she threw it into the lake. The worm grew and grew to the gigantic proportions of a monster, the famous sea serpent Lagarfljótsormurinn.

Lac où selon la légende on peut voir le cousin de Nessy !!! La rive coté forêt est très belle, l'autre rive ayant un intérêt moyen.
Par contre, ne pas hésiter à prendre la piste qui mène au refuge de Laugarfell, très bel endroit avec hot spot à 40°. On peut y croiser des rennes.
Pour les randonneurs, descendre la rivière balises jaunes, au fil des cascades.
Pour les courageux, prendre l'autre piste et faire les 10 kms à pied en remontant la rivière pour finir dans les bains.
