Here you can enjoy superb horseback riding, discover the educational farm or stay in a friendly guesthouse. Sigurður Hlíðar Jakobsson and Helga Guðrún Sturlaugsdóttir, usually Helga and Siggi, are the farmers and hosts at Finnsstaðir. With them, quality is everything, and they're proud to be able to show you around Iceland on one of their horses, which are suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Longer tours of 2 hours can be arranged on request.

Phenomenal experience, my favorite time in Iceland hands down. Helga and Siggi take amazing care of both their horses and their guests. The ride was exhilarating (especially if you are not a beginner), the horses were smooth and I got to try all five gaits of Icelandic horses. Plus there are cute dogs and chickens. That place is paradise. Seriously, don’t think twice, just go there.

This was such an incredible experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Iceland. My husband and I enjoyed a 6-day tour around the country and this was one of our favorite activities by far. The horses are absolutely stunning and it was amazing getting to experience their unique Tölt gait that can't be found anywhere else in the world. These horses are very sure-footed and built to navigate rough terrain. You can tell the owners of this ranch take pride in the horses well-being and happiness. The location is absolutely stunning and makes one wish that they could stay there longer. If you have prior horse experience, I highly recommend requesting a private trail ride where you can get more experience and learn all about these beautiful animals. Can't wait to go back!

Wij hebben hier niet geslapen, maar hebben wel een rit met paard geboekt. Vriendelijke eigenaars, maar een van de gidsen was precies tegen haar zin aan het werken. Ze zijn bezorgd om hun dieren en laten deze niet te hard werken.

Zijn er niet blijven overnachten, enkel een rondrit gaan maken met Ijslandse paarden.
Is een ranch klein formaat met heel veel oog voor de paardvriendelijkheid.
