Three-star hotel with a breathtaking view of Iceland's highest mountain, located off Route 1.

Without being exceptional, this 3 star hotel located in a white building with rooms all equipped with bathroom remains a good address. On the spot, a restaurant to enjoy after a day. It is also very well located to explore the surrounding glaciers and only 800 m from the Svínafellsjökull glacier arm, sheltered by a moraine. The hotel has a breathtaking view of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnukur, and Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull. The hotel is located on the edge of Route 1, a few kilometres from Skaftafell.

Alles gut. Abendessen sehr teuer aber gegenüber in der Tankstelle kann man nett und lecker essen.
Die Nähe zum Gletscher ist unschlagbar.

Spartan room, different but satisfactory breakfast, unfortunately some items ran out early and there was no replacement

An ok hotel. Rooms are a good size but beds were a bit hard and had worn sheets. Breakfast buffet food is good, but the layout and the number of guests staying at this hotel means that the line gets pretty congested.

Went with school and thought this hotel was very nice. Really nice room with enough space and comfy bed. The food they served us was divine, I felt as though I was at a fancy restaurant (while being on a school trip) which was incredible. It’s quite close to a number of nice places to visit and overall solid hotel, would recommend.
