Founded in 1910 in the heart of the Pays d'Auge region, with the emblematic Livarot as its flagship product, this cheese dairy has long remained a family business. Eugène, Bernard, Thierry - three generations of Graindorge have succeeded one another. Then, in 2016, the group was sold to Lactalis, who maintained the company's identity and value. The "Cheese Village" invites you to take an audio-guided tour (recommended in the morning) of the cheese factory and its workshops through a glass gallery, followed by a tasting session.

Visite très intéressante. Je confirme ce qui m'avait été dit par email : il vaut mieux venir le matin car on voit beaucoup plus de gens travailler et d'étapes de la production.
Le magasin est très bien tenu et très propre. Et le personnel au top !
Seul bémol et pas des moindre..... tout au long de la visite on nous "vend" le côté familial.
Or.... en rentrant là où séjournait.... qu'apprend-on ????
Que ce n'est plus une entreprise familiale mais... que cette entreprise avait été racheté il y a 2 ans environ par..... comme la plupart des fromageries.... le groupe Lactalis !!!!!
Et là j'avoue que ça perd un peu tout son charme !!!!!
