Considérant le prix des hébergements en Islande, le Puffin Nest Capsule Hostel offre une belle opportunité de sauver de l’argent, mais il y a un autre prix à payer. Bien que les capsules soient relativement confortables malgré leur simplicité, les aires communes montrent des lacunes. Si la majorité des capsules sont louées, il y a un manque flagrant de toilettes et de douches à disposition. Il en va de même pour la cuisine qui est très petite et le nombre insuffisant de chaises pour s’assoir dans le salon. Il s’agît d’un « Self Check-in » et les directives pourraient être plus claires. Nous avons été victimes de ce manque de clarté à notre arrivée. S’il y a paiement à effectuer, il est nécessaire de se présenter à l’accueil du Hamar Guesthouse qui est essentiellement la même propriété mais qui ne communique pas par l’intérieur. Malgré tout, les lieux sont propres, la tarification est juste et les cabines permettent une intimité plus grande que les dortoirs classiques.

Excelente trato y servicio. Hubo un problema con mi reserva y la resolvieron de inmediato y se disculparon. Cierto es, que a veces la comunicación por teléfono no es del todo fluida, pero son resolutivos y amables. La limpieza es muy buena, no tengo ninguna queja al respecto. El desayuno es aceptable. El trato con el personal es exquisito y agradezco todas las gestiones que se hicieron con mi reserva, porque siendo honestos podrían haber sido rígidos y no atender a mis necesidades. Muchísimas gracias!

Don't be misled by the "puffin nest" in the name because the experience you are signing up for is more of a destroyer spaceship. Not a trace of puffin reference to be seen among the hostel's colours of black, white and neon blue.
The lodger was in on and integral to the jest, clad in a sheep wool vest despite giving off a definite air of an industrial-metal vocalist. My capsule was broken and wouldn't close,
which he announced without the scantest frown after giving it a brief try and blithely walked away.
The common room has two chess sets as parts of decor, one of them having the look of a sci-fi board game from the 90s; couldn't decide which is more offensive.
After I left, the building started buzzing and flashing lights on the green-blue spectrum and launched into space, retinued by a ferocious fleet of black, square kitchen plates.
