Cliffs where many birds nest, black-legged kittiwakes, with an ornithological reserve, with a black sand beach
The long black sandy beach of Dyrhólæy is cut by a 120 m high promontory, ending in an arched point that juts out into the sea (Háidrangur). These cliffs are particularly popular as they are home to many birds, including the famous puffin! If you take a walk up there, avoid getting too close to the edge, and look out for the countless puffin burrows hidden in the vegetation. During the nesting season in June, access is limited. Don't forget to wrap up warm, even if the weather's fine - the wind is strong!

Il est incontournable de passer là en se rendant à Vik.
Quand on vient aux alentours de 22h, les macareux reviennent de la pêche et on peut donc en apercevoir à flan de falaise. Un endroit à ne pas manquer
