Geysir site with impressive geothermal phenomena, with waters rising to a height of a few meters
The Geysir site is a geothermal zone famous for Strokkur, a geyser that spurts out on average every 5 minutes, its blue water rising to a height of 25-30 m. Next door is Geysir, from which the site takes its name, and which is now inactive, although it is exceptionally activated during major earthquakes. A little higher up are the communicating basins of Blesi, the "flame". Stay on the right side of the road! Don't miss the hike to the top of the site.

Petit bémol, le site est "placé" dans un environnement moins sympathique, isolé et sauvage que d'autres sites ayant aussi des petits geysers. Pour ça, nous avons été un peu déçu.
Les enfants même petits ont adoré l'experience de nuit et de jour!
(Le site est gratuit et rempli de touriste en journée. Impossible de passer la nuit sur place en camping car sans se faire harceler pour aller au camping!)
