This natural spa pool is located on the site of a hot spring, Vígðalaug, the "sacred spring". In days gone by, this spring was used as a baptismal font, as the warm water was far more pleasant than the icy waters of Lake Þingvallavatn. A number of pagans were baptized here after the Althing adopted Christianity in the year 1000. Today, it is a place of relaxation for tourists on their way to the Golden Circle. Often appreciated for its tranquility, you'll love basking in its hot baths overlooking the lake, in a soothing, natural setting.

Super moment de relaxation!
Sauna, Hammam, Piscines a différentes températures et accès au lac (non chauffé!), dans un décor quasi naturel. De quoi passé une bonne soirée, puisque c'est ouvert jusqu'à 22H (en hiver).

Concue avec plusieurs petits bassins, elle est parfaite pour se détendre tout en papotant. L'odeur du hammam est très marquée pour des non habitués. L'accès au lac est vraiment un vrai plus pour cette piscine, beaucoup moins touristique que le blue lagoo. Nager dans l'eau chaude sous la pluie ou en regardant les aurores boréales, au calme, c'est top!!!

The spa is part of the Golden Circle, there are several saunas and pools to relax, which is very pleasant after a long day hiking. We went evening, so I can not tell the surrounding landscape so but I must say that I loved hot springs throughout in Iceland!
