We came across this hotel by chance. We were stuck during a snow storm and were right next to this hotel. We managed to get a booking at the hotel. The owner was really nice and welcomed us in. He gave us very good advice during the snow storm which was very helpful. The rooms were recently refurbished so are very clean and comfortable. The showers were also excellent . The amazing thing in the hotel was that it's got underfloor heating all across so your feet, shoes and rooms stay warm. Excellent hotel, friendly staff and bonus was that there was a good range of board games to play whilst at the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want to have a night stop over.

Basic rooms, clean and tidy with a good location. I didnt like the fact there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room and I didnt like the fact the fire alarm detector was covered with a plastic bag!

Op kerstavond last minute geboekt omdat de door ons geboekte cottage niet bereikbaar was door sneeuw. Ondanks dat het kerstavond was werden we zeer gastvrij ontvangen. We mochten in de diner zaal ons eigen eten en drank gebruiken omdat het restaurant dicht was. Er stond wel een grote pan eigen gemaakte (heerlijke) aspergesoep die gasten konden eten. De kamer was ruim en schoon, prima bedden en badkamer. Ik kan dit hotel aan iedereen aanbevelen!

Me gustó mucho la habitación porque tenía cama, me gustó el servicio porque la camarera estaba buena, pero la ubicación está demasiado lejos

Only came here for 2 nights - the rooms were very neat and spacious and the beds are super comfy, always a bit weary about hotel food but first night we had lasagna and it was amazing! and the seconds night was a fish dish - i’m usually skeptical about fish but this is probably one of the nicest fish meals i’ve ever had the fish was so lovely and the potatoes side dish with peppers and carrots seasoned to the perfect amount!

Good place to stay in the middle of the golden circle area. People at the reception are really nice and open to give advice about things to do in the area and places to eat a good meal. The room is perfectly clean and contains everything you are looking for in this kind of hotel. Finally the breakfast is really good and has a good variety of products for both sugar and salty lovers

Bardzo słaby hotel, raczej jak hostel. Mikroskopijny pokój bez kosza na śmieci. Nieszczelne okna - rano obudziliśmy się z bólem zatok od wiatru, bo łóżka były tuż przy oknie. Nie da się dodzwonić do tego miejsca - numer podany na stronie należy do osoby prywatnej. W pokoju niezbyt czysto + plastikowa zasłonka pod prysznicem za ponad 170€ :(

Spacious triple room and excellent large bathroom. No hairdryer. Shared kitchen with few dishes and little space for cooking. To access the kitchen you have to go through the laundry room.

Lamentablement no puc dir que m'hagi agradat. La dutxa amb cortines d'aquelles que quan obres l'aixeta se t'enganxen a les cames, i ademés se surt l'aigua igualment. Per no patinar dins la dutxa hi ha aquelles enganxines que jo tenia a casa quan era petita, en forma de flors, es veien velles i mig trencades. El suport de la dutxa estava fluix i ballava, i la dutxa no s'aguantava al seu lloc, queia. El llum del lavabo, de dues bombetes, una estava fosa. No hi havia res extra, ni gots. Les tovalloles velles i ni tan sols feien joc, una de cada tipus. I al lavabo només una i petita i magre. Per altra banda, molt ben ubicat si vols fer el cercle daurat, i al costat d'un llac. I pel que fa al restaurant, tot lo que vam menjar va ser boníssim, i el servei correcte.

This is not a hotel!!!
Even not a guesthouse because it doesnt have good kitchen facilities.
The towels were terrible quality. No shower gel ans shampoo in rhe room.
And they dont clean the room/exchange the towels. (We stayed 3 nights)

Très bonne adresse pour visiter le cercle d'or!
Auberge très bien entretenue, propre (il faut enlever ses chaussures a l'entrée!), très bien équipée (3 cuisines pour l'ensemble).
Bien située pour visiter les différents site du Cercle d'Or, belle vue sur la montagne ou le lac. Vous pourrez également profiter du SPA a deux pas!
Une supérette permet également de faire vos courses, sans prendre la voiture.

Very cosy place with a homely feel. There are some board games to enjoy in the dining area, where there are also a microwave and kettles which are available for our use. The building itself feels like it's been recently renovated which is always nice. We had a double room with a beautiful view to the other side of the main road. The one downside was that the acoustics in the room could have been better - our neighbours were loud at times, and they could be heard... However, the negatives were overpowered by our host, Filip, who was so friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Always greeting us with a big bright smile, he attended to all our needs and made sure we were comfortable at all times - a real asset to the Hótel Laugarvatn team. A genuinely massive thank you to Filip for making our stay a memorable one ????????
