If you are looking for a bakery in Reykjavík, it is one of the most famous in the city, with a varied choice of delicacies.

Fancy a coffee or a sweet local speciality? This bakery and patisserie, located on the capital's main shopping street since 1920, is always a great success. Here, you'll find traditional sandwiches, savoury tarts and cream or chocolate pastries, as well as more elaborate macaroons and mouth-watering cakes. Of course, you can also order your own bread (but you'll see that the price isn't the same as in France!). The place is often crowded, so come early or plan to wait a little when you arrive.
