A great place to discover popular Iceland, the only flea market in the country

Here's an ideal place to discover popular Iceland: the country's only flea market. Everything is on sale: second-hand books, local and foreign vinyl records, woollen sweaters, shoes and clothes, paintings... Small food stalls sell dried, marinated or frozen fish, local meats (horse, puffin, lamb), black bread and various cakes, all at bargain prices you won't find anywhere else. Not to be missed!

Un petit marché aux puces
Une visite originale lors de votre passage à Reykjavík le week-end (ouvert samedi et dimanche uniquement). Pas trop grand, on a vite fait le tour, mais on y trouve un peu de tout, des articles de collection aux chaussures de sport neuves, en passant par les souvenirs d’Islande, la viande de baleine et de requin faisandé. De très bonnes affaires à faire, à de très bons prix. Petit espace de boissons et restauration légère sur place.

Un endroit intemporel
On y vend de tout: fripperie, vêtements secondes mains, bibelots, alimentation sucrée et salée. C'est aussi un lieu pour y gouter les mets islandais et se faire une idée de la cuisine locale. Allez y flaner un samedi matin et repartez les bras chargés.

A faire ! Non seulement vous avez les puces, mais c'est aussi LE lieu pour acheter une alimentation locale à des prix raisonnables. Le poisson mariné sur le pain islandais accompagné de sa crème de champignons était un délice !

Le marché permanent de Reykjavik, on y trouve de tout: pulls islandais, poissons séchés et compagnie. Le tout a des prix raisonnables (pour l'Islande)

un endroit étonnant où se côtoient vendeurs de vêtements, de livres d'occasion, de bijoux etc. Mais aussi de spécialités culinaires islandaises : poissons (saumon, requin), charcuteries, patisseries..
Beaucoup d'animation et quelques trouvailles à faire.
