A very small village, hardly a place really. It consists of a number of guesthouses and lodgings on the edge of the forest at the foot of the Slovak Paradise. Podlesok is an important tourist centre located in the large White Water Valley (Veľkej Bielej vody) at the mouth of Sucha Bela at the beginning of the Hornád breakthrough. It is the starting point for hiking trails in the north-western part of the Slovak Paradise, including the beautiful Suchá Belá hike. It is not the prettiest entry point to the park, but it does have accommodation facilities and campgrounds.
