GERULATA ANTIQUE MUSEUM (ANTICKÁ GERULATA)

This museum is located on the right bank of the Danube, near the border with Austria. Gerulata is the only fortified Roman camp in Slovakia, a remnant of the Roman Empire's border line, the Limes. It dates from the period between the 2nd and 4th centuries. The archaeological site shows the foundations of the Roman camp under the Church of St. Magdalena and the results of research and discoveries, including a collection of interesting carved objects.
