Bruntál is located at the eastern edge of the Jeseník Mountains reserve. The historical center is very rich: square with colorful houses, churches, beautiful castle. It shows the wealth that flowed here in the Middle Ages, when the surrounding mines were exploited and the town was a famous and frequented center of crafts and trade. The town's coat of arms still shows a miner with his tools, even though the mines have long since dried up.
