The town of Mojaïsk is located 110 km from Moscow on the Minskoe Schosse.First mentioned in 1231, Mojaïsk served, like Zvenigorod, a fortified outpost protecting Western access from Moscow. The first wooden wall was rebuilt in stone at the time of Ivan the Terrible (1541).She played an important role in the war against Poles.
