A witchball is what was hung in the windows of country houses in ^18th-century England to ward off evil spirits! Some say the house dates back to the ^15th century! Opened in 2007, this pub in the picturesque village of Lizard is in fact the most southerly in the UK, with a pleasant terrace and small garden. It serves some good, simple dishes, including fish of the day, burgers and even pizzas. There's also a good selection of Cornish beers. One of our favorite local spots.

It's a pleasure to eat on the terrace or in the shade of an umbrella on sunny days. You can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And the fish & chips are always a hit.
