FOOD FOR FRIENDS

Vegetarian Restaurant €€
5/5
1 review

One of Brighton's finest restaurants is, once again, vegetarian. Since its opening in 1981, Food for Friends has attracted a varied clientele in search of masterful, flavorful cuisine. It was selected by the Sunday Times as one of the best vegetarian restaurants. Located in the Lanes district, the restaurant's decor is classy and modern, offering excellent dishes for lunch and dinner. We love its original proposals. An independent, local and popular restaurant serving organic ingredients.

This small, ultra-authentic falafel restaurant is very much in keeping with the North Laine mentality. Mediterranean products take pride of place here, and wraps or pitas are classics to be accompanied by halloumi, avocado, hummus, olives, salads and more. The best thing to do is to take away and eat while discovering the neighborhood. And the special thing about this place is that it serves falafel, vegan and vegetarian dishes. Amal, the owner, grew up in the Middle East and shares his passion with fervor.

Iydea Vegetarian Kitchen

Vegetarian Restaurant

Iydea is a very popular destination in North Laine for fast food and vegetarian meals. It is one of the best addresses in the Brighton vegetative scene. The lunch package includes a main course, two salads and two toppings (hummus, chutney, etc....). The dishes are delicious and very hearty. The room with yellow walls and quite small and you can take away at a lower cost, a good option in good weather to land on the beach, for example. The menu changes every day to adapt to seasonal products.

JO & CO RESTAURANT

Brunch €€

A little further along the Hove coast, just behind the colorful beach huts, Jo & Co is the ideal place for brunch lovers. Here, you can enjoy tasty, trendy dishes such as traditional pancakes with maple syrup and Greek yoghurt, or melting poached eggs and toast... The decor is bright and pretty, in light shades of yellow and blue, with beautiful wooden lampshades. The café was founded by Jo and Pete, a couple of adorable locals who know the area like the back of their hand.

POST HOUSE COFFEE

Brunch

Push open the big red door of this little café, the former home of the postmaster in the 1870s, tucked away in the tiny cul-de-sac along Ship Street next to a large mailbox. Inside, you can sit back and enjoy brunch (granola, muffins and savoury toast, sandwiches, English breakfast...), lunch (sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers...), delicious coffees and teas, in a warm and cosy atmosphere. The café also offers cocktails and Sunday roast on Sundays (remember to book!).
