We go back to the summits (1 744 m) and to the state of Tachira. The landscape replaces flat valleys and lush forests from which fresh and turbulent waterfalls flow. In this city of 10 000 inhabitants, the colony left a few small mills. Founded in 1601, first under the name Pueblo de la Cruz, this village, still agricultural, houses a park to be seen. The Indian Park Carú is worth a walk for its fascinating landscape, its church and its fun couple of cherubim, ready to play the trumpet. Curious. The road to access it was destroyed in February 2005 (still La Vaguada!), today it is rehabilitated.
