Many endangered species inhabit this 18 650 hectare park: lunettes bears, capuccinos and scream monkeys, jaguars and many birds. The Camino Real (Cabudare-Terepaima), built early in the conquest by Jirajaras Indians, as well as a cemetery and other précolombiens remains make this site exceptional.
