Center of contemporary culture in an emblematic building of the 19th century, a reference of the Valencian culture.
Octubre's contemporary culture centre is located in the former building of the major stores El Siglo Valenciano, an emblematic building of the th century, which still houses part of the Arab wall. The building has been completely restored to offer 3 500 m 2 dedicated to culture. Inaugurated in 2006, the Octubre Centre quickly became a focal point of the Valencian culture with the programming of exhibitions, conferences, screenings of films, concerts, theatre performances, etc. This centre of contemporary culture is also the bastion of the defenders of the Valencian language: There is the Tres i four library, which offers works in Catalan and Valencian (but also in Spanish).
