REALES ATARAZANAS

Set in the th century Gothic style buildings, these atarazanas (arsenals) are the seat of Joaquim Saludes Maritime Museum and also host temporary exhibitions. Their origin dates back to a decision taken by the Valencia Council on 27 August 1338: building a place to store everything that related to the naval activity of the city. They witness the influence of the city, at its bourgeois and commercial apogee of the th century.
