Basilica of baroque style, with a remarkable dome and a niche, in the Plaza de la Virgen, right next to the cathedral.
Dedicated to the patron saint of Valencia, it is located on the Plaza de la Virgen, next to the cathedral. The basilica, built in the second half of the th century, presents a baroque style visible in the cupola decorated by a painter Antonio Palomino and in the presence of a niche, a highly significant element of Baroque. During Fallas, it covers flowers during the Ofrena (17 and 18 March), when the falleras commissions make a offering of flowers to the virgin.

Nice cupola fresco inside
The area is very nice to sit and enjoy the sun. The church does not seem a church at the beginning and it has a strange ellyptic cupola that inside is covered by a fresco of antonio palomino typical of barocco style full of saints but a bit difficult to understand.
