GARDENS OF SANTA CLOTILDE
A beautiful garden perched on top of a cliff with an impressive view of the sea
One of the most beautiful gardens on the Costa Brava, we highly recommend a visit. Created in 1919 by the young landscape architect Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí, at the request of the Marquis of Roviralta, the gardens of Santa Clotilde are perched atop a cliff, with an impressive view of the sea. Covering some 27,000 m², they were built in the Italian Renaissance style and are a perfect illustration of the Art Nouveau movement in Catalonia, known as Noucentisme.
