This Ferris wheel, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is located along the River Thames and was built in 1999 to celebrate the Year 2000. Standing 135 metres high, it comprises 32 comfortable, air-conditioned gondolas equipped with interactive tablets, each able to accommodate up to 25 passengers. Visitors can discover the city's most famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Palace of Westminster, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral.
Initially planned as a temporary 5-year attraction, the London Eye has become a permanent fixture in London, attracting millions of visitors every year from all over the world. The attraction lasts around 30 min, offering a 360° view of the city. It's best to visit on a clear day to make the most of the view, which can extend as far as the nearby countryside, guaranteeing an even more spectacular experience.
You can book a multi-activity ticket to enjoy the London Dungeon, Madame Tussauds, the London Sealife aquarium and Shrek's Adventures experience or the Big Bus.
