It's a totally different experience, far removed from the usual tourist spots. Taxidermy, fetuses in jars, butterflies and exotic insects, the skeleton of a giant anteater, dodo bones... In a setting like this, it's easy to feel like Poe or Baudelaire. You can round off your visit with a cocktail at The Absynth Parlour, the museum's bar.
