Without a doubt, the Windmill is one of the most charming hotels in South London. Housed in an old brick pub in Clapham, 42 cosy rooms have been converted into a Bed & Breakfast. All renovated, they offer modern comforts and warm, well-cared-for decor. Staying above a pub offers a more convivial experience than a hotel, and above all, much more typical. Clapham is a real Londoner's neighborhood, very much in vogue with its large, pleasant park all around the hotel. In the morning, we enjoy a great full English Breakfast!

In our group the calve's liver, chicken pie, and vegetarian burger were very highly rated. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cheesecake dessert.
Staff were very friendly and efficient.
I do wish we weren't asked to move after 10 as they close the area off, and we would have happily had a few more drinks, but I appreciate that requires continuous staffing.
