Part of London's history, the Great Northern Hotel is a legendary railway establishment just a short walk from King's Cross Station. Opened in 1854 to provide guests of the Great Northern Railway Company with a comfortable and elegant base, it was abandoned for 12 years before Marriott gave it a facelift. Today, it offers over 100 luxurious rooms and quality amenities in a classic setting that gives the feeling of reliving the great era of steam trains.

Really enjoyed this venue for its service and dining experience. Felt authentic railway hotel. Proximity to Kings X and St Pancreas makes it ideal for meeting up with family and friends.

As always a great stay at the Great Northern Hotel. The hotel and rooms spotlessly cleans . The staff polite and attentive. The location and transportation links second to none . An ideal base for exploring London . A special mention to Marco Salamon the general manager whose prompt replies to emails and attention to detail enhanced the whole stay. This is our third stay here definitely will be back.

very pleasant experience for this first time stay in this (new to me) portion of London. if proximity to the King's Cross and St pancreas train stations is of import to you; then you can do no better than this location! while room size is only average by London standards, they make up for what they lack in square footage with heaps of charm - the historic railway theming is adorable. the biggest and most pleasant surprise is how quiet and goodnight sleep the rooms afford despite this bustling location.
