Hear ye, hear ye, hat fans! This little shop, in front of Palazzo Pitti, is the home of a milliner! And not just any milliner, since it is Antonio Gatto, a fashion enthusiast of Calabrian origin. After studying sewing techniques, the history of costume and the art of weaving, he opened his first workshop in 2000. There is something for everyone. Antonio designs and produces his hat collections in a totally artisanal way. A small clothing line is also presented. Oltrarno is definitely the artisanal district par excellence!

A Florentine institution founded in 1967 by Loretta, a woman with an incredible life, who started embroidering and sewing at the age of 9. At first, sewing was a necessity. Then, Loretta's colorful embroidery stood out and attracted the attention of the Rockefeller family. The Caponi style was born. Today, her daughter, Lucia, is in charge of this superb boutique-workshop, where you will find very chic household linen, hand-embroidered cushions, silk pyjamas and other colourful nighties. A remarkable craft!

Another beautiful family story, and one of talent! It all began in the late 1800s, when Frenchwoman Luisa Jaquin openedher little straw hat shop in Paris. Then, in 1929, her daughter Olga and her husband Lido Panconesi opened their fashion boutique, named Luisa, in Florence, a stone's throw from the Duomo. Taken over in 1968 by their son Andrea Panconesi, it has now become an ultra trendy multi-brand luxury concept store, with fashion items, jewellery and accessories, as well as a well-known e-shop in the fashion world.
