FONDAMENTA DELLA SENSA
One of the quietest areas of Venice where the statues of the three Maselli brothers stand in Venice
The Fondamenta della Sensa, situated along a charming rio, borders one of Venice's most peaceful districts. After a stop in front of Tintoretto's former home, at no. 3399, you'll walk along the Rio dei Trasti and then the Rio Brazzo to reach the Campo dei Mori. Here stand the statues of the Maselli brothers, cloth merchants from the Peloponnese who settled in the city in the early 10th century. If need be, hang a note of protest on the metal nose of Signor Antonio Rioba, as the locals often did in the past!
