Library with a beautiful collection of manuscripts in front of the Doge's Palace, one of the most valuable in Italy.
Opposite the Doge's Palace, with its incomparable collection of manuscripts. It is one of the most valuable libraries in Italy. Built by Sansovino between 1537 and 1560, its monumental rooms are decorated by Titian(The Wisdom), Tintoretto and Veronese. Only the vestibule and the Great Hall are open to the public. Here are preserved sublime works such as the Brevario Grimani, illustrated with Flemish miniatures of the 15th and 16th centuries. In the vestibule, the Mappemonde by Fra Mauro (1450) illustrates a representation of the world in the 15th century.
