The best museums Milan

Passing through the narrow town of Palazzo Real, go to the discovery of this church accompanied by a beautiful Gothic campanile.

Not far from Torino and the Duomo Square, this museum is among the richest in Italy. The Pinacothèque ambrosienne was formed from the private collection of Federico Borromeo (1618), cardinal of Milan and lifeguard of several masterpieces located in the Milanese palaces during the plague that hit the city in 1630 (you will find a detailed description of this plague in the now classical book of Alessandro Manzoni, Les Betrothed).

The modern art gallery is located within the Villa Reale of Milan, a splendid neoclassical building surrounded by the gardens of Porta Venezia. It houses paintings and sculptures from the th and th centuries, including the famous painting of the proletariat, the Fourth State, of Pellizza da Volpedo. Also remarkable are the collections of the French Impressionist: Renoir, Manet, Cézanne and some Picasso.
