Museum of the Risorgimento to discover an interesting collection of paintings in Milan.

Like every major Italian city, Milan has its own museum of the Risorgimento, the historical period between 1796 and 1870, when the fervent patriotism of Italians living in a fragmented nation led to national unity in 1861. The 17 rooms of the museum feature an interesting collection of paintings, sculptures and documents, including Napoleon's coronation cloak in Milan and the first Italian tricolor flag.
