Memorial dedicated to the soldiers of the British Airborne Division, featuring a collection of authentic objects and documents.

Come and relive the dawn of June 6, 1944 at the Pegasus Memorial. An impressive collection of authentic objects and documents dedicated to the 11,000 soldiers of the British 6th Airborne Division, dropped to secure the eastern flank of the Allied landing zone. Testimonials in the visitors’ book add to the collective memory, like this moving one: "I didn’t know my father was a hero. I found out today". In the park, the real Pegasus Bridge and the replica Horsa glider arouse other emotions.

Well worth a visit to this museum. A real piece of history and interesting story. Free parking. Entrance ticket 9,50€. Have a wee coffee or beer at the cafe across the bridge. First house in France to be liberated in 1944.

This is the most interesting and informative museum - I've visited twice and feel there's still more I can learn from it. We visited in the 81st anniversary the D Day landings and there was lots going on in the town and even a choir singing in the museum. Plenty to keep young and old engaged.
