SAN NICOLAS STAIRCASE

With its 202 steps and 23 colourful landings, the staircase, also called Daraj el-Fan, is charming. Now cleaned and rehabilitated, it offers a pleasant and sporty stroll. Beautiful period houses can be found there and the neighbourhood life that animates it is perhaps one of the most pleasant in Gammayzé. Backgammon players throw their dice frantically and some neighbourhood restaurants have set up shop there. Every year in June, this space becomes the staircase of the arts with multiple cultural and musical events.
