VILLA VERDI
Visit the Maestro's room with his piano and the Strepponi's room.
The residence the composer bought in Sant'Agata (3 km from Busseto) in 1848, religiously maintained as it was. He lived there for almost 50 years with his second wife, the singer Giuseppina Strepponi. Currently still inhabited by Verdi's heirs, only part of the house can be visited: the maestro 's bedroom with its piano, the Strepponi's bedroom, the composer's study and the completely reconstructed room of the Grand Hotel de Milan, the Milanese hotel where Verdi used to stay. A marvellous 7-hectare park surrounds the residence.
