PIKWORO SLAVE CAMP

Although only a few stones remain of the old slave transit fort, this place is a true historical testimony of one of the darkest pages of human history. For information, the slaves, who were sent by boat to the United States, came mainly from northwest Africa. Paga, by its geographical location, served as a gateway for captives from Ghana, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso.
