Park to visit, former property of Lady Auguste Gregory, with exhibitions on the history of the house, wildlife, etc.

Now a listed nature reserve, Coole Park is the former estate of Lady Augusta Gregory, co-founder with Edward Martyn and William Butler Yeats of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. The park now houses exhibitions on the history of the house and the surrounding flora and fauna. It also has nature trails, a lake and the Autograph Tree, a tree on which many of Lady Gregory's illustrious guests have carved their initials. A rejuvenating walk in perspective!
