This castle has been converted into an astronomy observation center with a planetarium, but is of little interest.
Sixteenth-century castle built to protect Cork from pirate attacks. Today, it is used as an astronomy observation center. On a clear day, you can use the observatory to admire the stars through telescopes. Otherwise, the visit is of little interest. The view from the top of the château overlooks the industrial port: not the best in town. Not the first place to see if you're visiting Cork!

Joli petit château au bord du fleuve Lee où nous trouvons un lieu de balade apprécié des Corkais et The castle cafe qui vous concoctera de délicieux plats faits maison.

Une superbe visite dans ce petit observatoire à l'extérieur de Cork. Des animations vidéos permettent d'en apprendre plus sur l'espace en général. Le guide était passionné et ses explications dans la tente-planetarium étaient très sympas. La vue sur le fleuve du haut de la tour vaut le coup d'oeil.
