The beer monument! With over a million visitors a year, it's Ireland's most popular tourist attraction.

Guinness Storehouse: Dublin's beer monument! With over a million visitors a year, it's Ireland's most popular tourist attraction. And it's right here that the famous beer is produced daily and exported around the world. The legendary stout with its creamy head was born in 1759 thanks to Arthur Guinness, in the heart of the St. James Gate brewery. At just 34 years of age, and with limited resources, he succeeded in his ambitious challenge to compete with the greatest English beers. In 1838, St. James Gate became the largest brewery in Ireland, then the largest in the world in 1914. Created in 2000 in a former fermentation unit, the Guinness Storehouse is now a museum dedicated to the glory of the Irish company. Shaped like a giant pint - over 14 million would be needed to fill it! - it takes you into the lair of the famous brand, to discover its history, its manufacturing process and the Guinness family. The first floor features the four essential ingredients for making beer: water, barley, hops and yeast. You can also see the traditional tools used by brewers in the past. In 2015, a new floor was opened. It is dedicated to the evolution of the bottles and the history of the brand's advertising. The tour ends with a pint in the famous Gravity Bar, a panoramic bar on the seventh floor at the top of the building, offering fabulous views over Dublin.
