Hotel offering spacious, plush rooms overlooking St Stephen's Park, for a luxurious stay in the city center.

This luxury hotel is housed in a house dating back to 1824, which has since been restored to retain its original charm. It is the pied-à-terre of wealthy Irish and international visitors. It was here, in 1922, that the first constitution of a free Ireland was drafted. Most of the 265 rooms and suites overlook St Stephen's Green. All are spacious and opulent (marble, gilding, period furnishings, etc.), and carefully equipped with soft beds, flat screens, telephones, wi-fi connections and DVD players. For a luxurious stay in the heart of the city.

Beautiful, high end hotel central location in the city. Great service and good food. One and only complaint was the mattress in the room was a bit firmer than I would of liked, but that's just an opinion. The rooms were beautiful, clean and quiet.

Service was spotty, but when Ana was my server at breakfast(2 of 3 days) the dining service was excellent and I enjoyed seeing how she kept an eye on the entire room. The bellmen were also excellent. I stayed in a high end guest room and a suite. I was impressed with the water pressure and immediate availability of hot water. The floors in the guest rooms are quite rickety but I'm sure this is not an easy fix for an 1820s era building. I really appreciated all of the marble in the bathrooms. I felt a bit brushed off by the front desk and management when interacting with them, but I understand they are extremely busy so I don't know that there is an easy fix for this. I don't envy their job. I would still be happy to return. It does feel like a lovely place to be.
