THE CLARENCE
On the banks of the Liffey, the chic Clarence Hotel, built in 1852, once belonged to two members of U2, The Edge and Bono.
Situated on the banks of the Liffey, the cosy Clarence boutique hotel, built in 1852, was owned by two members of the U2 band, The Edge and Bono, between 1998 and 2024. Chic and expensive, it has the advantage of being located in Temple Bar, but away from its hustle and bustle. Classic and classy, the 58 rooms are pleasant and feature custom-made furnishings. The most expensive have a beautiful view of the river. There's also a bar where you can enjoy a glass of whiskey in a classy setting. For trendy, upper-class travelers.

Our room was outdated and tired, with a tiny TV and a hugely overpriced mini bar. Walls are paper thin with the other rooms.
Sadly I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend the hotel.
