One of the best hostels in Dublin, located in a moving neighborhood Smithfield, with a young and festive atmosphere.

This hostel of the famous Generator group is the biggest in the city with no less than 530 beds. If the building which shelters the hotel is old, and even classified, the interior of the hostel is very modern and well looked. Each floor has its own decor and colourful murals. The music is always on loud; on the ground floor, there are armchairs, sofas and computers with free Internet access, a "study" area and a cafeteria. A few steps down are a bar, two pool tables and a cinema.

It’s loud as hell here. People singing at the top of their lungs until 2 am. People talking in the hallway and you can hear everything. I asked the staff if it was always that bad and they said it wasn’t. The next night it was just as loud. If you’re in your early 20’s this might be a good place to stay and party, but for everyone else I’d avoid it. If you’re into listening to kids puke their guts out while you’re brushing your teeth this might be a great spot.

No food in the rooms which wasn’t told to me until I walked in with food.

This place is better than the average score would indicate. Has everything a hostel should have. Great location, big bar and social area, and spacious rooms with comfortable bunks and a bathroom. In addition, the breakfast looked good for the price, the front desk was very helpful, and there’s always big energy when you come back from a day exploring the city. Some great pubs and breakfast spots within easy walking distance and you must have a pint or two at The Cobblestone!

Une réservation en ligne pour 6 personnes et nous nous retrouvons séparés dans différentes chambres car ils n'avaient pas enregistré notre commande, et devoir ensuite changer de chambre pour le 2ème jour, en payant supplémentairement les boxs pour garder nos affaires.
