Ölands Skogsby Youth Hostel (Sweden's oldest and closest to the bridge linking the island to Kalmar) is housed in a former restaurant that resembles an opulent turn-of-the-century farmhouse. The owners' aim is to preserve the peaceful atmosphere and simple, rural environment. A well-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals. On sunny days, breakfast can be enjoyed in the pretty cobbled courtyard.
