Concert halls Gothenburg

Music lovers, the Konserthus is for you! The Swedish National Symphony Orchestra performs here. Usually at least one or two concerts per week, except when on tour. The rest of the time, you can enjoy other shows or jazz, classical or contemporary concerts. The acoustics are sublime and, for a few years, the Finnish conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali has been officiating there... The program changes often, so the best thing to do is to go there or consult the site for information.

Why not spend an evening at the cinema when you visit Gothenburg? Biopalatset is the cinema par excellence, and you can see all the films of the moment there. It's a good opportunity to discover Swedish cinema, if you can find a screening with subtitles (usually in English), or to enjoy the English and French films that are on show. Usually, a seat number is indicated on your ticket, so you can't sit wherever you want, at the risk of really upsetting the usually quiet Swedes!

For more than twenty years, Oceanen has sought to highlight and promote alternative cultures in all their forms. The specialized programming gives an important place to music, with concerts of independent artists from all over the world, but the place also proposes theater performances, film projections, readings... and always in an intimate atmosphere, close to the artists. Club nights are offered on some weekends, and in summer you can enjoy a drink on the beautiful terrace.

This former theatre is now a nightclub where rock music is the star. What was once a cinema is now a music scene with two bars and a balcony, and a capacity of 900 people! Many concerts are organized with sometimes a hip-hop or indie pop program. This club has a very special charm, both rustic and typical, which gives the place the cachet of the rock clubs of the past. You can also eat in the "dining room", a large room that can accommodate up to 200 people.
